Momstribute will be sharing excerpts from the book “Lois and her Irish-Ness” on a regular basis to inspire you. They will be heartfelt stories, life lessons and the challenges of raising a family felt by one amazing woman, Lois.
With her husband, Bill, seven children were raised in Chicago, IL and Foster City, CA in the 1960s to the 1980s. This first edition pays tribute to all moms.
Mother -- Her Essence and Greatness!
While reading this book one may sit back and ponder. You see, while we captured Lois and her Irish-ness, something special happened. We also captured her mother, her grandmothers, great grandmothers and her great-great grandmothers and ancestors. The historical greatest of moms! In this case, Irish moms! These women led the way and paved the paths for building and aspiring greatness. It starts with the mere fact of being a woman. The mother is the most perfect thing that exists in the life of human beings. A good mother is never forgotten, we take her forever in our hearts; that’s why it is so important that we value and cherish our mothers! They deserve it!

I just love the Norwegian word for mom- mor sounds like it captures our mom's capacity to love so accurately.
