When is there ever a time of year that the combination of music and eating out is not agreeable?! Never! Can it be a kid friendly event? It sure can. Teens are fussy, can they be satisfied? Without a doubt.
On this mom-to-mom blog we have the answers. Think Rock and Roll. Think Hard Rock Café. It's a sure winner because these fabulous cafés, with music-world memorabilia by the ton displayed on their walls, are nationwide and worldwide for a truly memorable treat that suits all the kiddos and adults alike.
Hard Rock Cafés are very good at keeping in touch with their customers. As a registered member your birthday will be remembered every year and they always have a small treat for you. This year they sent me a reward of "Buy one entrée, get one free". That included Salads, Entrees, Smokehouse, Burgers or Sandwiches for dine-in only. Being a June birthday, I am usually on summer family holidays but we still enjoy the treat because Hard Rock Cafés are in 150 global locations. Last year we were lucky to see New York's restaurant on Broadway and I was awe struck at the huge range of A-Listed celebrity memorabilia. Bob Dylan's guitar was seen - that's as close to my favorite artist I will ever get! But in compensation, I was given the opportunity to tell my kids a little about him and they clearly saw my enthusiasm.
Getting back to the topic of this mom-to-mom blog, the kids with me were teenagers. They suited this venue to a tee. They were agile enough to weave between the layout of tables to access and read-up-close the labels beside the displays. But this would not be possible if you have a buggy to push or small toddlers to hold on to. I recommend this venue for any kid of seven or over. They would easily read for themselves and would appreciate the music and its relevance.
The Hard Rock Café shop alongside the dining areas is a collector's dream. T-shirts with café name and location are very collectable. All sizes for all your team! With the iconic guitar standing outside the building it is easy to relate to the guitar pins for sale in their shops. Your teenagers might like to have one for their rucksack. Cool and stylish, they are always a winner. And of course, there is music for sale. Everything from the strap, the picks and the guitar itself. Don't forget the Skull and Guitars red Bandana to complete your rock and roll style!
In this day and age we all appreciate a business with a sizeable staff to be open about their transparency of workplace training and opportunities, and about their level of sustainability considered when ordering food and drink. Hard Rock Cafés strive to maintain high levels of staff training using on line learning. They insist on their merchandise supply chain to comply with the employment laws just as rigidly as they do. Careers and life style choices are looming on the horizon for my teenagers and it is my choice to introduce them to places where good working conditions are seen working well. Hard Rock Cafés have always seemed to me to be happy places.
Last but not least, the food at their restaurants is without fault. They are big portions though...but that's a good complaint. Very healthy array of beans and salads impressed me. Their kid's menu is for ages 10 and under. Although I personally did not see the kid's burger and fries dished up in a Hard Rock Roxtars guitar -shaped plate, it was seen on the website menu and looked so great. Well worth a photo!
Talking of photos, it is impossible not to want to take photos inside but be aware the lighting is dimmed and does not make for good photos. I presume they shield their exhibits from the harsh lighting so it is understandable.
Their amenities will differ from location to location but I am confident they will all include:
