Scene75 has so much to offer that details on its kid-friendly attractions span two blogs! Located at 460 S Weber Rd, Romeoville, Illinois, Scene75 is about a 40 minute ride from the heart of Chicago. While Scene75 identifies itself as an “Entertainment Center,” this location offers memories to be made that include laughter, healthy competition, and just plain ‘ol kid-friendly fun as part of this unique a-la-carte entertainment experience. Check their website prior to arrival to take advantage of the many deals and specials they offer!
When you first arrive, families load funds on gaming cards that can be used at any of the fourteen attractions on site. The Arcade Games, Indoor Go-Karts, Laser Tag, the Tsunami Roller Coaster, and Blacklight Indoor Mini Golf were featured on the Kid-Friendly Venues Blog last month!
The Drop Tower is an indoor riding attraction featuring a quick drop from a 35-foot tower! The design allows 12 riders to be seated and harnessed in a circle surrounding a tower which slowly creeps to the top. After a moment of suspense, the group of riders will drop at a steady pace for over a minute. This ride is smooth and comfortable and kid-friendly, for the shortest of riders at 42”. The Drop Tower is $6 per rider.
Sunset Mini-Golf offers healthy competition for guests not interested in the blacklight mini-golf experience. This mini-vacay-vibed nine hole golf course features an eleven foot waterfall, surrounded by tropical backdrops of flowers, palm trees and foliage. This kid-friendly attraction is one for all families to enjoy as it welcomes all from youngest to oldest! This mini-golf experience costs $7 per golfer.
Mom to Mom here: there is no getting out of Scene75 without spending at least thirty minutes in their amazing Inflatable Bouncing Park! The bounce area is well-lit, clean, and is the hub of laughter. Ages 12 and under are welcome to bounce in the variety of inflatables, attended to by the kid-friendly staff. Parents are welcome to observe outside of the bouncies! Slides, castles, and obstacle courses are featured…just don’t forget to wear socks! Each thirty minute increment will deduct $7 from your gaming card for the kids.
The Homerun Zone allows your favorite batter an opportunity to swing for the fences in the state-of-the-art batting cages. Batters control pitch timing and speed. Each batter gets fifteen pitches/balls to hit for $3.50. This area is a particular “hit” amongst kids for birthday parties and other celebratory events. Scene75 has a variety of party packages available, but this attraction scores a “Grand Slam” among attendees. Check out their website for pricing and availability. Don’t strike out and miss this opportunity for some kid-friendly fun.
Another kid-friendly favorite at Scene75 is Mini-Bowling. While the experience may appear to be mini in size - featuring shorter lanes, lighter & smaller bowling balls and pins, the laughs and entertainment are not spared! While some skill is needed to knock down those pins, you can request the gutter guards so every ball rolled is guaranteed to knock down a pin or two. This attraction offers a mini-lounge and the vibe of the good ‘ol neighborhood alley, but the computer scoring machines take the guess work out of keeping score. With tv’s available, catch a game or two while enjoying the laughs this attraction offers. Mini-bowling costs $5 a family member, but you don’t need to rent any shoes!
The Vault Laser Maze at Scene75 Chicagoland allows visitors an opportunity to compete in a physical challenge by embracing their inner ninjas! The object is to get in and out of a “vault” without tripping one of the neon-colored laser beam alarms. This attraction is best for kids aged 8 and up. Expect to crawl, bend, jump and be mindful of your arms and legs! This attraction is only a few minutes worth and runs each competitor $3.50.
While a full service, on site restaurant is available, 75 Flavors is a must-visit kid-friendly scoop-shop, featuring sweets like fudge, cookies, brownies and candies!
Moms, Scene75 is a Winter-Weather favorite kid-friendly venue that cannot be outmatched during Chicago’s long winter months. I recommend beating those winter blues here on more than one day - you won’t be sorry!
