To the Mama Who Struggles…
I see you. I have been where you are. You have the feeling of not being able to do enough and not being able to give your children everything you ever wanted to. The feeling of failure and exhaustion seem to get worse by the day.
I have news… you are doing great. I believe as moms we have this idea that life must be perfect for our children. We want them to have the best of everything and to not have to worry about the day-to-day struggles of life. The one thing we must remember is that, as moms, life doesn’t have to be perfect. What matters is that our children see us trying our best and know how much we truly care and love them. They know that, although we may not be perfect, we strive to give them what they desire most—the love of a mother.
Personally, as my children enter their teenage years, I notice this even more. They don’t seem to care as much about perfection. They want kindness, understanding, and guidance to help them through life. They want quality time and for great memories to be made. They don’t ask for perfection or to have all the material things they could ever dream of. They want a mother’s love.
So, believe in your heart that you don’t have to be the perfect mother to be a GREAT mother. Stop stressing yourself out trying to be the perfect mom and just focus on enjoying every moment and be yourself. Know that you are enough and everyday that you spend with your children, no matter what, you are doing GREAT!
Sincerely,
A Mama Like You
